Lane Distribution Systems

The products arriving in rows or at random on a conveyor belt will be divided into several (equal) streams by means of a belt with oscillating diagonal positioned side guides. Then the product streams will be aligned long side leading by one or two belts with diagonal positioned driven side belts. The streams of products will be transferred to a main belt with several diverting sections, leading to the wrapping lines.
The distribution-feeding system is generally used when receiving production from moulding or enrobing systems.
Products arriving from a moulding system are usually arranged in groups, (created by the mould pitch). We incorporate a recovery system which is used to close the gaps between the groups and create an even flow. This is then sent onto the distribution-feeding system.
This system first splits up the flow transversally according to the number of machines that need feeding. We achieved this by passing the products over belts of increasing speeds with fixed divider plates fitted on them. The products are then passed over belts of increasing speeds incorporating motorised vertical belt deviators. This process divides the chocolates into the correct number of individual rows needed to feed the machines downstream.
To allow products to be correctly distributed, apposite groups of motorized vertical belt deviators, corresponding to each machine to be fed, divert individual flows towards the machine they are connected to, and the other individual flows are addressed to the remaining machines.
If a wrapping machine stops, the relevant deviator is positioned parallel to the main conveyor and its individual flow is transferred to the next machine.
Depending on the way that wrapping machine operation has been set (i.e. with or without a Stand-by machine), the flow not deviated to the machine due to a stoppage, is automatically sent to an apposite Stand- by machine or collected at the end of the line.
An alternative to the operating cycle described above is also available. This consists of vertical deviators provided with motorised opening/closing mechanisms that can be either operated using an on-off switch or connected to the speed of the wrapping machine.
