End of line Buffer

This system may be used for both packaged and unpackaged products: Chocolate tablets and bars, fruit and cereal bars, biscuits, bakery products, deep frozen food and many more foodstuffs, luxury food and stimulants, pharmaceutical products and non-food articles. Depending on its position within the line, the product flow regulator adopts various tasks next to simple buffer functions: Regulations of the product flow, cooling or heating of the products, discharge of an oven, feeding packaging legs, synchronization and grouping of products or the transfer of the products to another production level.
The model is installed at the end of the line and adopts the function of a cross feeding station and an R-belt. It functions according to the FILO principle “First-In –Last-Out”. In regular operation, the arriving product rows are loaded on a transverse belt and fed to the packaging leg. If a leg stops, the ows are loaded into the gondolas of the it from the front. These gondolas are suspended in parallel chain loops on both sides, in normal operation, individual distances between incoming rows may be enlarged to push rows from it in these gaps and empty the latter. Should the product flow stop for what reason ever, the rows are pushed on the cross feeding belt from it (re-feed), it is unloaded and packaging leg may continuously be fed.
Benefits
- Direct discharge; only one overflow is buffered in.
- Extremely space-saving; R belt with same buffer capacity would be approx. 20 times longer.
- Multi-functional loading pull-nose (FSU)
- Depositing on transverse discharge belt
- Ejection of bad products or rows
- In-feed to PFR
- High loading and unloading performance.
- All gondolas may be loaded if required.
- Dimensioned and optimized in accordance with specific product properties.
- Low maintenance requirements and fast cleaning
- Good accessibility for maintenance and cleaning
- Less soiling due to hygienic design
- Safe and easy handling of PFR.
Special features
- Ideal end-of-Line PFR
- Minimum buffer capacity is more efficient in preventing overflows.
- There is no sliding of rows as on R belts; this means re-feeding is more reliable.
- The feeder belt can create artificial gaps in order to empty the PFR.
- Less reworking or waste.
- To replace a single-branch line with R belt on minimum space.
- In the event of performance variations of the packaging machines the products are kept in an intermediate buffer; this avoids any overflow.
Options
- Head of line with aligning unit, metal detector and FSU with breakage ejection
- Crumb plates
- Additional functions, e.g. cooling or heating
- Crumb plates
